The $324,000,000 Heist that wasn’t.
Two British Men were convicted this week in the attempted 2006 Heist of nearly $324,000,000. The pair were captured on video tape visiting the bank after hours with the colusion of a Securtiy guard who worked at the bank. The plan involved the use of a USB Flash drive used to upload keyloggers into the banks system which would captue passwords and logons for the group to have used to then transfer funds out to banks located all over the world. The scheme was foiled when the hackers were unable to successfully complete the transfers and their failure to complete the necessary forms properly lead to their detection by other Bank Employees.
